Sabino Canyon

In the Pusch Peak wilderness. You talk about being busy. I pulled in on a random Saturday morning in March, and there were probably 500 people there. My second time in the area, 2 hours south of Phoenix, basically in Tucson. The superstitions of Tucson. I will admit, though, that this place does have its beauty. On average, it is a cute mountain range of maybe 5,000 peaks. This canyon is famous for the falls and creeks that form during the winter months, making it a hot spot for cliff jumping and playing in the water. While water still does run in the summer, there is also the risk of it being too hot to hike due to the Arizona heat. The sound of rushing water is the most mind-clearing sound. The natural sound of the flow can help create clarity, and the plus side is you don’t have to walk far to get to this point. Just a mile or so in, you can pass the crowd and escape into your own big rock to sit on, eat lunch, write a journal, reflect on your life, and enjoy your peace of mind while you have it!
