From May 22-26, I was off to climb my first of seven summits and, hopefully, the first of many major summits to follow Kilimanjaro. I did climb this mountain towards the end of the wet season on the mountain, but I do not regret it; the alternative is heavy crowds. I climbed this mountain with a friend I met at university named Johnson. He was an exchange student for a year, and he left America and started his own climbing business, Operation Kilimanjaro, I am so grateful to have kept this connection and was fortunate enough to experience a true African trip. I will be back in Kilimanjaro, either for the Rongai route or a 3-day climb via Machame. This will be the last video while I am in New York for the summer, so until then, Godspeed my friends.
